What is digestion?Our body cannot absorb all the food we eat.The food we eat is broken down into simple and easily soluble substances is called digestion.
What happens to the digested food?
It mixes with the blood stream and gets stored in muscles and liver.
How does body get energy?
It is obtained from the food we eat.

Mouth, Food pipe, Stomach, Liver, Gall bladder, Pancreas, Small intestine, Large intestine, Rectum, and Anus.

Describe the process of digestion:
It starts in the mouth.
The teeth grind the food.
Saliva is secreted from the the three pairs of salivary glands.
This saliva mixes with the food and makes digestion easier.
From food pipe it reaches Stomach.
Muscles of the stomach contract and relax.
Food gets churned there.
Glands in the stomach secretes digestive juices and hydrochloric acid.
This makes the food digestible.
The digested food passes through the small
intestines mixes with the bile juice,pancreatic juice and enzymes and gets
digested.
What happens to the digested food?
It is converted into nutrients and transported to various parts of the body, through BLOOD.
What happens to the undigested food?
Passes into the large intestines and excreted through the anus.
Secrete X excrete .
